Dr. Garehime was born and raised in Denver. He attended Colorado State University where he met his wife Amie. After graduation they moved to Chicago and he entered Northwestern University Dental School while his wife worked and attended graduate school at Loyola University. He graduated at the top of his class and was accepted to the oral and maxillofacial surgery program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. While at Northwestern Hospital Dr. Garehime received state of the art training in anesthesia, medicine and the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. He had two papers published in scientific journals and completed his residency in the summer of 1984.
Dr. and Mrs. Garehime moved back to south Denver with their two young children immediately following completion of his residency. They enjoyed living in Chicago for eight years but missed all of the outdoor activities available to them in Colorado such as camping, biking, skiing and fly fishing. His family now includes three grown children and four grandchildren with more on the way.
Dr. Garehime began his practice with an oral surgery group in south Denver and opened his own office in Littleton early 1985. He practiced in Highlands Ranch since 2006. Dr. Garehime joined Dr. Hambleton’s practice to continue practicing a limited scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, primarily including dental alveolar surgery. He worked with Dr. Hambleton in his state of the art facility for years until this retirement.
